Fort Collins Man Hooks Massive 10-Pound Cutthroat Trout

I wouldn't consider myself a good fisherman by any means. I haven't caught anything to brag about in I don't know how long and haven't been fishing in at least 2 years. But I am hoping to wet a line more than once in 2021.

A Fort Collins man has earned some bragging rights by catching a massive 10-pound, 26-inch cutthroat trout recently. A post from KDVR shows Antonio Giron holding the catch of the day from Lake John located near Walden.

The state record for the biggest cutthroat trout was set in 2005 by fisherman, Rob Peckham, of Oak Creek, Colorado. The record-setting fish tipped the scales at 17 pounds, 2.6 ounces, and 33 inches on according to Southeastern Outdoors.
