Fort Collins Celebrity Cat “Oreo” Has Died
Greeting hundreds and hundreds of visitors to the Armstrong Hotel was Oreo's pastime and she had been doing it since 2004. Oreo Armstrong even has her own Facebook page, with over 3,000 human friends.
Hundred of comments are being left on her Facebook page and that of the Armstrong Hotel after they shared her passing on February 24, 2020.
The Armstrong Hotel plans to celebrate her life with a fundraiser at Ace Gilletts from 5-10 p.m. on Sunday (March 1), with all proceeds from the evening going to the Larimer Humane Society where Oreo was adopted 16 years ago.
Fort Collins caught on to the energy and character of this cat when she was catnapped in 2014. Social media posts went viral sharing the video of the two men who took her. She was later found safe and sound not too far from the hotel.
