A former Greeley youth center employee will serve at least two decades behind bars for sexually assaulting young boys.

Jorge Lechuga, 23, was ordered to serve 21 years to life in prison, according to a Weld County District Attorney's Office press release. A jury convicted him on three counts of sexual assault on a child and two counts of criminal attempt to commit sexual assault on a child.

Investigators said Lechuga sexually assaulted at least four boys between January and September of 2016 when he was employed by the Greeley youth-focused community center called the Rodarte Center. Some of the victims were family members.

Several victims said Lechuga would invite them to dinner or to hangout and would then touch them inappropriately.

“The Rodarte Center is and always will be a beacon of hope for children,” Deputy District Attorney Tamara Love said in the press release.

“But the defendant used this center as his hunting ground. He deserves every year of this sentence that was imposed to ensure he won’t have the opportunity to harm any more children in our community.”
