If you've ever gone to the Ogden or Fillmore in Denver and gotten the post-show hungries, then you've probably eaten at Tom's Diner to fuel up before the drive back to NoCo.

Unfortunately, Tom's on Colfax was not deemed a 'historic landmark' after a group of Denver residents fought to save the retro diner from demo, The Denver Post reported.

Ironically, the owner of the 'always open' but soon-closed restaurant himself didn't want to save it from being flattened and turned into — you guessed it — the future home of an apartment complex.
