The Colorado State University Rams gave a national television audience plenty to cheer for on Saturday.

The Rams men's basketball team rallied from a 26-point deficit to beat No. 23 San Diego State 70-67 in game broadcast nationally on CBS. The rally was the biggest comeback in school and Mountain West Conference history.

The victory was the Rams first over a ranked opponent since the 2011-12 season. It was also the first road win over a ranked opponent since Jan. 5, 1973.

CSU had 14-0 and 19-0 runs to help flip the script of the game. The Aztecs missed 16 foul shots in the game that left the door open for the comeback.

The Rams are now 6-1 on the season including 3-0 in the Mountain West Conference this season under third-year head coach Niko Medved.
