Crook Busted After Stealing Street Sweeper

"Hmm, I think I'll try and steal a street sweeper," was the brilliant thought of an 18-year-old from Sacramento.

According to Fox 40, our guy reportedly 'peeled out' of a parking lot while behind the wheel of a stolen street sweeper. (I didn't even think a street sweeper was capable of peeling out.) Police caught up to the guy and saw him run a red light and tried to pull him over. He led them on a short, street-cleaning chase and managed to hit three other cars with the sweeper before he stopped and tried to get away on foot.

Police and their trusty K-9 unit tracked him down pretty quickly and now he is charged with fleeing, possession of a stolen vehicle and hit-and-run.

Just about everyone wants to drive a Zamboni, but a street sweeper? Really?!
