David Monohan and Jamison Guldon are the founders of Feisty Spirits and have plans to open to open the first distillery in Fort Collins on Lincoln Ave.

Already prepared, the owners have obtained a 60 gallon Canadian artisan, enough to produce anywhere from 3,000 to 3,500 cases per year.

Discussing why they chose Fort Collins as their location Monohan said “With the craft culture in this town it just made sense,” they will primarily stick to just whisky but may also experiment with a "peach brandy made with Colorado Palisade peaches."

Pending some local licensing and construction  the distillery should be producing bottles by the end of the year. In the first stages the whisky will be distributed to local liquor stores and bars.
