Over the past few years, I've had quite a few friends have kids and it's always excited to see their growing families. It's also fun to hear about the names that they come up with and whether it is a family name or something new they came up with. Each year the Social Security Administration releases its list of the top baby names of the year and it's always fun to see what pops up on the list.

The information first came available by KKCO, and it's time to see what made the most common baby names for the state of Colorado in 2020:

  2. Oliver/ Charlotte
  3. Noah/ Emma
  4. Henry/ Sophia
  5. William/ Amelia

Call me crazy but it seems like names are sounding more traditional lately, but I like that idea. Although what do I know, I have no kids, and let's be honest my wife normally picks out our dog's names.

But what about the most common names across the entire country, here is that list to compare:

  1. Liam/ Olivia
  2. Noah/ Emma
  3. Oliver/ Ava
  4. Elijah/ Charlotte
  5. Willliam/ Sophia
  6. James/ Amelia
  7. Benjamin/ Isabella
  8. Lucas/ Mia
  9. Henry/ Evelyn
  10. Alexander/ Harper

If you want to know more about a specific state or just need help to search around for names I would highly recommend visiting the Social Security Administration website by clicking here. There are tons of ideas, you can even search popular names by decade,  I'm sure you'll find one that you love.
