You can read countless social media posts. Either give them the thumbs up, smiley face, or angry face, when it comes to the 2016 Presidential Election, but a smiley face emoji does not elect a president, voting does.

Colorado, along with other swing states, will prove to be important in the 2016 election. In 2008 and 2012, it was Colorado that put President Obama over the 270 mark in the electoral college. In essence, our vote matters.

Here are some things you will be able to do at your Voter Service and Polling Center:

  • Register to vote or update your registration
  • Vote in person
  • Get a replacement ballot
  • Drop off your mail ballot

Here are some dates to keep handy:

Monday, October 31st will be the last day to register to vote to receive your ballot in the mail for the 2016 general election.

Tuesday, November 8th all voters must be in line, and mail-in ballots must be turned into election officials by 7 p.m.
