The Colorado Eagles will be able to build off what they've started with Head Coach Greg Cronin and his staff since 2018. The Eagles announced on Friday, Aug. 20 that they have re-signed the entire coaching staff going into this season.

Cronin has been signed to a three-year contract extension through the 2023-24 season, and assistant coaches Aaron Schneekloth, Brett Clark, and goaltending coach Ryan Bach have each been signed to two-year deals.

Craig Billington, Eagles general manager, spoke on the culture the current coaching staff has already created, saying:

With the culture that we have created, having consistency among the coaching staff is very important and we can now continue to instill that culture with consistency and transparency.

The player development and consistency the Eagles' coaching staff has brought to the ice is imperative moving forward into the season. Having the stability of an entire coaching staff returning for at least the next two years leaves a lot of room for the team to settle into the style and values of the staff.

Cronin as the Eagles head coach is incredibly valuable for the franchise. According to the release from the Eagles, Cronin has over 30 seasons of experience coaching, 12 of which were spent as an assistant coach in the NHL. He also has five seasons of head coaching experiencing in the AHL, coaching at the helm for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and the Eagles.

Schneekloth is quite familiar with the Eagles as he spent seven seasons in an Eagles uniform and is now entering his fourth consecutive season in the assistant role.

Clark has player and coaching experience within the NHL, serving as a development coach with the Colorado Avalanche for seven seasons. He was brought onto the staff with the Eagles at the start of this year.

Bach came into his role with the Eagles following two straight English Superleague Championships. He played for the Eagles as well where he finished his career in Colorado with a 33-15-5 record.

The Eagles are set to open the 2021-22 season with a preseason match-up weekend against the San Jose Barracuda Oct. 9-10. The Budweiser Events Center, home of the Eagles, is open to 100% fan capacity.
