After a Civil War statue in front of the Colorado Capitol building was vandalized and torn down, Denver police are now investigating who might be responsible.

According to The Denver Channel and State Patrol, the statue was toppled overnight, but vandalized possibly before that. There is reportedly surveillance video in this area, so police are hopeful that they'll be able to spot whoever took down the statue on-camera.

The takedown of racist monuments is a movement that is spreading the country; Forbes has even been listing all of the confederate statues that have been taken down by protesters over the past few weeks.
