As the Cameron Peak Fire continues to burn in Northern Colorado, Rocky Mountain National Park has implemented more closures due to fire activity.

In a press release from the National Park Service on October 15, officials said that closures now expand to the nothern section of Rocky Mountain National Park, including the Lawn Lake Trail area.

This is in addition to the previously-closed 'Cow Creek Trail, the Black Canyon Trail, the Gem Lake Trail and the Lumpy Ridge area,' the National Park Service said. All of the park is closed Northwest of Estes Park, while most of the park Southwest of Estes Park, and Trail Ridge Road, remain open. You can see a map here.

In September, it was reported Cameron Peak Fire had burned over 7,000 acres of the park.
