The Denver Broncos' Justin Simmons is taking a stand.

The football safety spoke to protesters on Sunday (May 31) in Stuart, Florida, telling the crowd that black lives matter.

"We need to stick together. We need to be united," Simmons said in a video posted on Twitter. "We are fighting for equality, not superiority. Make sure we understand that. All lives matter when black lives matter."

Simmons stated that justice must be obtained without the use of force.

According to 9News, Simmons also partook in the city's peaceful protest, where groups marched across Roosevelt Bridge chanting "black lives matter" and "no justice, no peace."

Fort Collins residents took part in a similar protest on Friday (May 29) outside of the Fort Collins Police Station.
