UPDATE: CPW Rescues Bear From Steamboat Springs Culvert
UPDATE: CPW officers rescued the bear trapped in a Steamboat Springs culvert on Tuesday (August 25) afternoon.
According to CBS Denver, rescuers tranquilized the animal, secured a tow strap to it, and used a tractor to lift it out of the hole.
CPW reports that the bear, which is an almost 275 pound male, will be relocated to northern Routt County.
HAPPENING NOW: A bear is currently trapped in a culvert in Steamboat Springs.
According to CBS Denver, Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) is on the way to rescue the animal.
