So, I spent my first ever father's day in the very fitting surroundings of Denver's first comic convention. (Would you expect any less from this geeky dad?)

Check out some of the pictures I took from Denver Comic Con on Sunday.

I have to say, I was impressed. The place was packed, but not too packed. People were dressed up everywhere, celebrities, and I think I could have spent a few thousand dollars in a matter of minutes if I'd let myself.

I  saw everything from Bobba Feet with Hellraiser's head on a pike, to the Martian Manhunter, to Corpse Bride and the Mad Hatter, Wolverine, a Heartless, Colossus, Batman, Robin, Harley Quinn, The Joker, Toad, Red Sonja, Kung Fu Panda, every Star Wars character known to man, Captain America, Link and Zelda, Leela, The Tick, Wonder Woman, Katniss Everdeen, and more.

And I only saw, maybe a third, of who came through over the weekend in costume!

There was also a Rock Band Bands competition, Kitt, the General Lee, Ecto-1, and the Jurassic Park jeep on site.

It's a comic book geek's dream, a star wars geek's dream, a cosplay lover's dream, a gamer's dream, and a sci-fi geek's dream. (You know...all the things I like.)

Dear Denver Comic Con, I'll be back next year, and I plan on having one of those costumes everyone stops and takes a picture with.

Any ideas for me?
