4th July independence day salute

Support law enforcement with a 5k in memory of those lost in the line of duty. 2018 has been an extremely sad and difficult year for Colorado already. With the terrible loss of already two law enforcement officers, our community has come together to show support for all of those that risk their lives every day. Colorado definitely is amazing at showing this support with both memorials to these officers not being small by any means. The police community of course is there for each other, as well as, everyone has seen. When one department grieves, all the departments grieve.

Back the Blue 5k is a great way to show support for both of these officers that our community lost recently. Proceeds for the 5k will be going to the Fallen Officer Fund, that will give support for both families that these heroes have left behind. The race has gotten so popular that they added more starting locations and have made it a virtual 5k, which means it is open to having more locations added. You can start anywhere in Northern Colorado and show our amazing support for both deputies!

Race day is Saturday, February 3rd, all ages are welcome, as well as pets (on a leash). To get a location started in Northern Colorado ...hit the Register Now green button at the top right of the Back the Blue Virtual 5k website and select 'choose your location/out of town'. Registration is $35 ($20 for a another location) and children under 13 are free. Again, all proceeds will benefit the Parrish and Gumm families. Thank them for their service and celebrate the lives of both these selfless, brave deputies in a such a positive way and with your community!
