Considering all the fires burning in Colorado and of course the Cameron Peak Fire, just 60 miles West of Fort Collins, its no wonder we are under an air quality advisory.

The Larimer Health Department took to Twitter on Thursday to announce an air quality advisory for Fort Collins, Laporte and Loveland. The advisory is in effect through Friday.

I feel like the air quality hasn't been so bad lately but I have a friend in town from Colorado Springs and she immediately mentioned how smokey it is here. I guess we are just getting use to it, not cool.

Governor Jared Polis has issued a fire ban for all of Colorado and Larimer County implemented a fire ban of their own, through mid-September.

Earlier this week Fort Collins issued a ban on charcoal grills as well, just in time for Labor Day.
