Something very terrible happened in Greeley Friday night. Some scumbags broke into the Game Alliance video game store, stole just about everything of value inside, and trashed the place.

We have had our fair share of local celebrities in Greeley, most of them athletes like Shawn Chacon, Shane Carwin, and Tom Runnels. But I would venture to say that this is the first time someone from Greeley landed a role in a video game, and not just any video game, but one of the highest grossing games of all time... "Grand Theft Auto V."

The Russian block-matching puzzle game Tetris took the world by storm in the late 1980s when it was released on Nintendo's NES and Gameboy platforms. And we think we've found one of the best players around.

Good ol' Black Thought. Not only is he an amazingly talented member of The Roots and Jimmy Fallon's house band, but he's also willing to admit on national television that he's a "game freak." And then willing to do rap to the theme from Super Mario Brothers.

Yesterday, Sony revealed their new gaming system the PS4. Considering how up in arms everybody was over the XBox One, it's no surprise that people were more than willing to hop onboard the PS4 bandwagon. When they announced that the console would cost $100 less than XBox, it was basically all over. Here's how people were reacting.

The game Borderlands 2 has spent a lot of time in my Xbox 360 console. So, one of our days at the 2013 Denver Comic Con we decided to gear-up, Pandora style, as Salvador the gunzerker, Lilith the siren and a Psycho Bandit. We even ran into a couple that came as an epic Maya the Siren and Zero the assassin.

Microsoft unveiled their new gaming console yesterday, and people were not impressed. Actually, they were pretty complain-y and grumpy about it. They don't like the name (Xbox One). They don't like all the features. They don't like any of it. (Particularly how the Microsoft folks pretty much just talked about TV the whole time.) They genuinely dislike it so much that they took the time to make memes about it. These really capture the gist of the problems people have with Xbox One.

Adding another covered tune to his list of many, 'Late Night' host Jimmy Fallon decided to perform a duet with last night's guest Selenz Gomez. Their choice? The beloved 'Mario Kart Love Song.'

Anyone who argues that video games are full of senseless violence and lack genuine emotion simply hasn't spent enough time with a controller in their hands. In fact, many games are driven by heartfelt love stories at their core. Some are cute and Disney-esque, while others are doomed from the start in the tradition of Greek tragedy. Either way, the video game romances we present here are all epic

Some people have too much talent and a lot of time on their hands, and I am very envious of them. Enter: Lindsey Stirling. She has been writing plays since she was 8, she is a classically-trained violinist, and she takes dressing up, to a whole new level. And, as her website states, she might be the only artist to blend classical violin, modern dance, cosplay and The Legend of Zelda together. In geek news: I am really excited about this. So excited in fact that I don't need to make a poll, Beano and I will be going to The 1UP and playing this game!

While the critters of  Pokémon are animal-like, you can't actually find Pikachu and his buddies in earth's animal kingdom. Which is why PETA's recent attack on the popular Nintendo characters has many people scratching their heads.
