Sandy Hook Elementary

Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper has asked Coloradans to observe a moment of silence today to honor the 26 people killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut and their families. We will take a moment at 9:30AM to silence our airwaves in remembrance.

We are all looking for searching for ways we can help folks in Connecticut and those affected by last week's horrific elementary school tragedy. Well, sometimes the simplest of things can mean the most. Something as simple as sending a paper snowflake to show you care.

I didn't catch The Voice last night, but this clip of the coaches and artists paying tribute to the Sandy Hook Elementary School victims just brought tears to my eyes. They all stood, side by side, holding placards with the names of all the victims and sang a heartfelt version of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah." Watch it below.

Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper is all to familiar with mass shootings and has recently been outspoken about toughening our gun laws and even going as far to say video games may have something to do with these violent episodes.
