Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper has asked Coloradans to observe a moment of silence today to honor the 26 people killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut and their families.

We will take a moment at 9:30AM to silence our airwaves in remembrance.

Hickenlooper also urged government buildings and places of worship to ring bells 26 times in honor of those who died at the school. States across the country are calling for the moment of silence the hour of the shooting that happened one week ago today.

A 27th bell ring is being added to many of these remembrances to include the killer's 52-year-old mother, Nancy Lanza, who was slain by her own son that same morning.

Here is a list of the names of all those  lost. May they rest in peace and never be forgotten.
