I didn't make it to the theater this weekend because being busy and then the weather so I decided to just stream a movie and review that. My Xbox kept advertising and "telling" me to rent the Nic Cage flick 'Stolen' for free. Of course I couldn't pass up a free movie, but you might want to unless there is nothing better on.  I wasn't really expecting much out of this film considering Nicolas Cage's track record for the past few years with films, and I am glad my hopes weren't high. The premise of this film is he is a master thief and a robbery goes bad, he is ditches the cash and is arrested. When he is released, his former partner wants the cash that they pilfered so he kidnaps Cage's daughter and holds her for ransom for the money.

This movie is full of over acting especially from his former partner. I think they went a little over the top with that character. Cage is his normal cage self, so don't expect much out of his acting and the plot is eh.

I don't normally talk about the score of a movie but that was one of the biggest problems I had with the movie. The music made the movie feel like it was an 80's cop drama, full of brass and cheesy bass lines. It got very redundant.

Over all I would say pass on this, unless it is free and you have nothing better to do. Over all I give it 1 1/2 of of 5 needles to the neck.
