Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit

Here is my review for the latest installment of the Jack Ryan series.

If you like any of the other movies in the Tom Clancy series, or "spy" movies, you will probably enjoy this.

The story was ok, predictable, but decent. Right along par with Clancy and the whole "Russians are the bad guys and we need to stop them at the last minute" type of story. The acting was pretty well done except for Keira Knightly. I had a problem with her in this movie and it didn't hit me until after the fact. I really don't like her acting when she has to have an American accent. They should have either made her character British so she could keep her accent, or just recast that part.

The good parts of the film, even though predictable, was the story, except part of the ending. I mean come on, really? The acting from Chris Pine and Kevin Costner was also a bonus. I am really glad that Kevin Costner is making a comeback in the film world.

Overall I wouldn't say this is a must see in the theater, even though it was fairly good and entertaining. I give it 3 out of 5 armored Land Rovers.
