Looking for a Spooky Movie, Then Try ‘The Innkeepers’

I am not a fan of scary movies mainly because they are over the top, predictable and just not scary. The only real reason I watch them is to watch my wife jump, which is hilarious!

That being said, I did enjoy 'The Innkeepers' for what it was. It is about a little inn that is closing and on the last weekend the staff of two decided to investigate the paranormal history with the hotel. It is full of jumps and the best part is, they get the point across without using a lot of gore, which a lot of movies now and days use as a crutch.

The acting is decent and the story is right on par with most "ghost" movies and the movie has a decent flow to it. If you enjoy a good spooky movie then this is one you will want to check out.

I give it 3 out of 5 flickering flashlights in a dark basement.
