Note to self: Stealing is bad, but stealing in Indiana is really bad. A man there is facing felony theft charges after stealing a single hot dog from a convenience store.

According to UPI, a 21-year-old man went to a convenience store, grabbed a $1.49 hot dog and shoved it in his pocket, paid for a fountain drink, and then left the store. The store manager saw the sneaky hot dog thief on surveillance footage and called police, who identified the man and arrested him.

It would be hard to imagine a felony theft charge sticking for stealing one piece of processed meat, but I'm sure it's giving this guy a scare. Good thing he paid for the drink or he might be looking at solitary.
