Apparently pictures of dogs wearing pantyhose are lighting up the Internet. (How this happened or why this happened is still a mystery to me.) However, I decided to get my corgis in on the pantyhose action (Tights and pantyhose are pretty much the same thing, right?) and they took the little ordeal surprisingly well.

Cute. Awkward....but cute.

I was a little worried because our older corgi, Cora, doesn't like her feet being touched, but she seemed to have no problem with us slipping a pair of children's tights on her. (If she had, this little photo shoot would never have happened.)

The next problem was the length of corgi legs. As you can see by the above photo of Kiwi, corgis we not meant to walk around n people-length tights, even little-people length tights, but she had no qualms with her new attire at all.

Dogs in pantyhose/tights: I still don't understand the phenomenon, but it was good for a quick laugh. I think I owe my girls a few extra treats for this.

Reading comments on some of the sites that have started popping up all over the place, it seems that a lot of people are calling this "animal cruelty". If we had been doing anything "cruel" to our dogs, we wouldn't have done it. This was actually easier than trying to change their collars or brush their teeth and they were in the tights for a grand total of three or four minutes. Some dogs might have a problem with it, but I would hope a good dog owner would recognize the, "Don't put those stupid things on me or I'll bite your face," warnings from their dog if they were not okay with it. Mine are little attention-hogs and were happy to get some extra love while took the pics.
