Looks like there was enough support to get those holiday lights back up in Old Town Fort Collins. The Downtown Holiday Lighting Ceremony happens tonight at the Oak Street Plaza!

When will the lights go on?

“6:30 on the dot,” according to Old Town Fort Collins' Facebook page. The lighting ceremony itself goes from 6PM-7PM at the Oak Street Plaza (Oak St. & College Ave.)

There will be music, cookies, hot cocoa and cider. Then at 6:30pm Mayor Weitkanut will flip the switch on turn on the tens of thousands of LED holiday lights in Old Town. You can see lights from anywhere along College Avenue between Laporte Avenue and Magnolia Street. (There will be Trees lit along Walnut Ave, Linden St., Pine St., Old Town Square, Oak Street Plaza, and Mountain Ave.) And it is, of course, free for all ages.

Now, if you don’t remember there was some controversy about whether or not the holiday lights would be returning to Old Town. So, who do we have to thank for the holiday lights?
