Some would say "only in Aspen" but either way the Pitkin County Jail will now be offering yoga classes to their inmates.  I personally encourage everyone to introduce yoga into their lives.  I believe it makes people more calm and able to cope.  Doesn't that make sense for inmates that we are hoping to reintroduce into society better than they were?  I think this is a smart thing to do.      According to the Aspen Daily News “The inmates seemed very receptive to it,” said Dawn Dexter, who, along with Kendall Cafritz, will voluntary lead the classes. She and Don Bird, the jail administrator, talked with the inmates about the classes last week, and Dexter ended up leading a short yoga session.  “It was only five minutes but they noticed a difference; at least they said they did,” she said.
