Wyoming Is 2nd Happiest State, Colorado Is No. 5
If you have ever been to Hawaii you can understand why they are the happiest state in our country, but guess what? Wyoming is number two and Colorado is number five. Just what makes us so happy?
A little bit of everything, apparently. A new survey by the Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index looked at six categories in relation to happiness:
- life evaluation
- emotional health
- work environment/job satisfaction
- physical health
- healthy behavior
- community satisfaction
They scored each state on those criteria and the top fave states, in order, were: Hawaii, Wyoming, North Dakota, Alaska, and Colorado. So cheer up, and be glad you don’t live in West Virginia, Kentucky, or Mississippi, the states that are the least happy according to the poll.

Cheer up, you're in one of the happiest places around. Why do you love living here?
