The late October storm is delaying the start of school for some Northern Colorado students on Wednesday. For some, the weather is canceling classes all together.

Poudre School District representing Fort Collins and Wellington schools have announced a two-hour delayed start. Morning-only kindergarten and Early Childhood programs are cancelled. No breakfast will be served. B.A.S.E. Camp will open at the normal time for students who attend the program.

Weld RE-4 School District Chief Operating Officer said Tuesday night that the Windsor/Severance school district will have a two-hour delayed start on Wednesday.

Greeley-Evans School District 6 will have a two-hour delay on Wednesday. Morning preschool, before-school activities and breakfast at all schools are canceled. Lunch will be served on a regular schedule.

Weld RE-5J School District — including Johnstown and Milliken schools —  announced that it is canceling all classes on Wednesday.

The University of Northern Colorado in Greeley also announced that it will have a delayed start — the college will open at 10 a.m. All classes that are scheduled to start before 10 a.m. are canceled.

Front Range Community College will also delay its start until 10 a.m. All classes with a start time of 10 a.m. or later will run as scheduled.

Other Northern Colorado school districts and colleges are monitoring the weather to make their own decisions.

The National Weather Service currently has Northern Colorado in a Winter Weather Advisory. The Wednesday high is near 24.
