Who Is the Greatest Guitarist of All Time? [POLL]

The guitar is the most important instrument in popular music, and it is has been for over fifty years now. Many have played it, many very well, but a select few played it so well we now list them as true "guitar heroes." "The Greatest Guitarists of All Time" have been named by Guitar World magazine, but before we spill the beans, who do you think is the best?

Back in early April, Guitar World set out to determine their readers choice for the greatest guitarist of all time. A bracket was made, players were ranked, a few were voted in, and nearly six months and close to a half-million votes later the results were in. The 132 player bract stye tournament ended earlier this month with Eddie Van Halen standing alone as the victor. He beat Queen's Brian May in a wild finals match-up that saw fans clubs, forums and Facebook pages getting involved to support their respective candidates.
