Parenting is a constant learning experience. Until a few weeks ago, I thought only old people got pneumonia. Not true. My almost 2-year-old son Theo (one of the twins) got pneumonia. He didn't have a fever or even a runny nose, but he had severe wheezing and fatigue. Through chest x-ray they were able to diagnose it as pneumonia. We were given a nebulizer to help him with the wheezing. He was also given two different kinds of antibiotics and a steroid shot. It took a few days, but he started feeling better. When young kids get pneumonia, it's serious, because a hospital stay is a common treatment. We luckily avoided that. In the video below you can see how hard it is for him to breathe. Watch his chest move, it was scary.

My name is Kama and I'm a Mom...and that just freaks me out sometimes. I'm a bunch of other things that used to seem really important, but somehow being a Mom blurs those other things into mush. I have a 5 year-old daughter and 2 year-old twin boys. Everyday I have a "holy s**t, I can't believe I'm a Mom" moment and those get shared here.
