Sometimes I am baffled by how people react to certain things! Owl City played the Ogden Theater last night and before the show we had a meet and greet with Lead singer Adam Young and some lucky winners, which was awesome! The events leading up to that meet and greet were not.So, there I was minding my own business, waiting by the ticket window for our listeners to show up for the meet and greet before the show. I see a line has already formed at the door of people waiting to get in, with a group of tweens, who seem to be huge Owl City fans, leading the pack at the front of the line.

Half of our lucky winners show up and its getting close to the meeting time so I decide to call the others. I find out that they are some where in line so I wander down the line to find them. I pull them out and immediately I can feel the hateful glares at me. Then all hell breaks loose.

A group of the fore-mentioned tweens come up to me and ask whats going on and I say that we have a meet and greet with Owl City. I immediately regret saying that. I get bombarded with questions if they can meet him and how they have been waiting all day and they deserve it and blah blah blah. I say sorry we only have a certain number of spots and finally they sulk off. Not too long after that I get approached by an older lady. She says to me that "she doesn't know the girl" even though she was standing next to her, but I should let the girl in the meet and greet because that said girl has been waiting since noon and now she is in tears because she can't meet him.

First, I already said that I have an allotted amount of spots available

Second, Who lets their kid, who had to be at least 13, skip school and sit on Colfax all day waiting for a concert?

I politely tell the woman that I am sorry there is nothing I can do and she walks away. I can feel the hateful, vengeful stares on me again and I try to brush them off.

After a few minutes of waiting, another woman (or it could have been the same woman) came up to me and said in a rather rude voice that she thinks it is unfair that these group of people who only have been here for five min to get to go in while these poor tweens have been waiting all day. I had to explain again that I work for a station, they are winners so therefore they have the right. She scoffed and walked away.

I think that its done, then I get a guy that says he's a dad and said that he talked to the people putting on the alcohol wristband and they have no idea about any meet and greets going on. ARRRGGGHHH! I have to explain again that I have connections. OY!

Why must people act like this?

Here are our lucky winners.
