Serious question. What happened to it?

The past few times that I have been to a football game I noticed this and even on tv you notice it a bit, but I didn't really think about it til last night. It's getting a little out of hand.

I went to the Chargers vs Broncos game last night and being a Charger fan in Bronco country I always expect to get a little flack but the overall demeanor last night really bothered me. First off, the announcer is announcing the military services and people start booing just because the Chargers are coming onto the field. I get that the home crowd isn't supposed to like the away team but wait! It seemed like everyone was booing the military services!

Secondly, why boo a former player? I have noticed this a lot this year. New England fans booing Welker. Bronco fans booing Eddie Royal. Why? Most of the time the player ends up getting traded so it's not their fault. Why boo them? It's stupid.

Third, and this is really horrible. Why boo a high school team??? During half time they are recognizing high school football teams for their success and the last one, Valor Christian, got about half of the stadium booing at them! For what? I understand rivalries and what not but why boo a high school team? That is also stupid!

And finally last, I get that you are at a sporting event and you get into it. WE all do that. But have a little courtesy to your surroundings. This guy next to me, I will call him drunk douche or "dd" for short, thought it was appropriate to yell out obscenities at the field all night. He was saying stuff that would have probably made a sailor blush. No big deal, I am an adult, I can handle that. My problem was there was a 9-year-old in front of me and a few other little kids scattered around. You have "dd" throwing around all this colorful language, that honestly didn't really need to be screamed with several families around. I know going to any sporting events you are going to experience colorful language, but have a little self control and save most of it for when you are in your house and you are mad at the players on the tv.

In closing, what happened to the "good ol' days" where we could just expect a good game where players, for the most part, respected each other and the fans respected the players and each other? I think they should also bring back the "good game" part at the end where each side lines up and high fives each other rather than this mess of just a few players run on the field look at each other and then leave. Plus why are fans stabbing each other??????? There is no need for that!
