Western Colorado Fires Are What’s Making Northern Colorado Hazy

If you've felt your allergies ramping up this last week, you're not alone. Smoke from wildfires on the Western Slope of Colorado are affecting air quality on the Front Range.

According to the The Denver Channel's Meteorologist Mike Nelson, the 'fire sky' in the Northern Colorado area is mostly from the Pine Gulch Fire near Grand Junction, but now the Grizzly Creek Fire near Glenwood Canyon is also contributing to the haze.

The National Weather Service reports that smoke will continue to drift east to the Front Range over the next 24 hours, and while heavier smoke will head south of the Fort Collins area, you may see or smell more smoke overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday.
