Weld Food Bank Needs Over 5,000 Turkeys

Thanksgiving is creeping up on us quickly. It's the one time of year I actually take time to cook a turkey! Some families in Weld county are in need this holiday season... As a matter of fact, Weld Food Bank is looking for 5,436 turkeys for Thanksgiving.

The number is higher than last year by more than 600. Weld Food Bank is also in need of other items for Thanksgiving as well. This includes:

• 5,642 5lb. bags of potatoes
• 12,400 cans of green beans
• 9,122 cans of mushroom soup
• 8,195 boxes of stuffing

If you would like to help the Weld Food Bank feed residents of Weld County, here is some ways you can drop off food:

3 Wing Shack locations will be collecting turkeys at 2704 8th Ave and 1815 65th Ave in Greeley, 1261 Main St in Windsor. Plus, if you bring in a turkey, wing Shack will also donate $5 to the Weld Food Bank.

You can also drop off your donations from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Weld Food Bank warehouse located at 1108 H St.
