WATCH: Tornado Touches Down in Colorado Tuesday Afternoon
'Tis the season for 'nados in Colorado, and while we've been spared in Northern Colorado (so far), on Tuesday, July 14, one touched down in Las Animas.
A sheriff's deputy caught the tornado touch down on video, and according to CBS4, it was on the ground for around 90 seconds. Fortunately, there were no injuries or property damage reported.

Las Animas is just east of Pueblo, where an RV camper showed how quickly winds picked up.
Tornados are more common on the eastern plains of Colorado than they are on the Front Range, but we have still had a handful in the last few years, and they are eight times more likely in Weld County than in Larimer County.
While we haven't had weather quite that severe in the Fort Collins area this week, on Monday afternoon, high winds blew cars off of I-25 between Fort Collins and the Wyoming state line.
