The holidays are about many things but one of the most important for me is creating traditions that my son will enjoy and appreciate for many years to come. One of my favorites (if not my absolute favorite) is our Christmas Eve tradition of making spaghetti and, most importantly... our homemade meatballs.

This is something we started doing last year and will continue to do for many years to come. THIS year was a little extra special because I got to have my Mom with us and she was able to see firsthand just how special and fun of a time making meatballs truly is.

My son, Max, is certainly not shy when it comes to being in front of a camera or in a video, which is pretty evident when watching this one... He even managed (at least, he THOUGHT he managed) to negotiate his way into opening a Christmas gift or two a little early. This is another one of our traditions for Christmas, where we open "Mom and Dad gifts" on Christmas Eve AFTER dinner, while "Santa gifts" obviously are opened on Christmas morning. I wish you could taste the meatballs in the video, because not to brag or anything, but they are THE BEST. After all, they're my Grandma Battalio's recipe.
