Brock Mishak literally grew up inside of basketball gyms.

His father Mike ranks high on the Colorado School of Mines record books in career rebounds, assists and blocked shots at the Division II School located in Golden. Brock of course grew up rooting for the Orediggers and his sister was also a basketball player when they were growing up.

Brock, a junior for Fossil Ridge High School, has scored 50 points in the Sabercats wins over fellow Fort Collins schools Rocky Mountain High and Poudre High School to start the 2021 season. He's this week's Townsquare Media High School MVP.

Mishak and the Sabercats continue their inter-city matchups by facing the Poudre High School Impalas on Wednesday (Feb. 3) follow along with our FREE HIGH SCHOOL SCOREBOARD.

Mishak already has an athletic legacy of his own, having quarterbacked his Pop Warner football team to the 2015 National Championship Game in Orlando, Florida.

Mishak and all other high school basketball players are required to wear facemasks both on and off the court this season, which kicked off the last week of January across the state.

Mishak sat down for an interview about the start of the season:
