The Tomb Of The Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery has remained guarded 24 hours a day since 1948 by the 3rd United States Infantry Regiment- The Old Guard. As 'Frankenstorm' grows and reaches Virginia, that tradition continues.

With rain and winds from Hurricane Sandy reaching upwards of 90 miles an hour, it's both inspiring and emotional that these young men continue to stand guard over the fallen.  Thank You, Gentleman.

According to Mashable, this photo is kind of a hoax. This particular photo was taken back in September. But the troops are still guarding the tomb, and they posted pictures on Facebook earlier today. Though, none on them are quite as striking as the one above.

I guess we can add this photo to the growing list of fake Hurricane Sandy pics that are littering the Internet.

But at least the story behind the photo is true and still just as inspiring.
