Today Last Day To View Comet Pan-STARRS In Colorado

Unfortunately, I've missed the comet the last two nights. But tonight, I'm setting an alarm so I can hopefully see it.

The comet Pan-STARRS has been seen in Colorado skies the last few nights and as the week comes to a close, so does the comet.

The comet, flying roughly 100 million miles from earth, is said to be best viewable 30-40 minutes after the sun sets to those in Colorado. As long as skies are clear the comet should be visible just to left of the crescent moon. In the past few days the comet is at its closest point to the sun which should make it easily viewable.

So if you happen to remember tonight around sunset which is going to be roughly around 6:00pm take a step outside and see if you can see the comet flying by.
