‘The Watch’- Movie Review Monday

I was kind of excited when I first saw the trailer for this movie and then I kind of forgot about it. Then while searching movies to see this weekend, I noticed it opened so I got excited again. 'The Watch' is about a group of guys that start up a neighborhood watch to try and catch a killer because the cops won't do anything, and they end up fighting aliens. The trailer makes it seem like it is all about them tracking down aliens, but it is more about the growth and comradery of these guys as they become friends.'The Watch' has a decent cast, ok story line, and some good humor. But that being said, it is also very crude. I am all for dirty jokes and crude humor but it seems like they tried a little hard on some of the jokes and didn't end them when they should have. This movie also features a lot of Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn more than the other characters so if either of them annoy you, you may want to rent it.

Overall it is a decent movie of a group of guys growing their friendship while fighting aliens. It has some great one liners, and like I said, a decent story line, but I would not recommend it for kids because the humor is crude.

I give 'The Watch' 3 out of 5 alien invasions.
