Tom Hanks Amazes in ‘Captain Phillips’ – Movie Review Monday

When I was leaving the theater, a random lady summed this movie up perfectly. As I held the door open for her she looked at me and said, "That was intense!" Yes, random lady, it was.

This movie is "based on a true story" so there are obviously some librities that hollywood took, but overall, I believe they kept true to the main story. Tom Hanks gave, in my opinion, an amazing performance.

This movie did a good job messing with your emotions and kept the tension going throughout the whole thing. I didn't even realize that the movie was around 2 hours and 20 minutes.

The movie also does any amazing job of keeping it real. Not only does Tom Hanks give an outstanding performance, Barkhad Abdi who played the lead pirate was amazing as well.

I don't say this often, but this is a must see!
