The Song That Made Me Love My Dog More

A childhood friend of mine and I share a love for simple folk and old country music. We also have a thing for big black dogs.  Well, she recently sent me the link to this Emmylou Harris song that has honestly made me love my big black adopted dog named Bella, even more.  The song is right on with Bella's personality and even the gray on her chin.

Black coloring is a dominant gene in dogs, therefore there are a lot of black dogs that need homes.  Big black dogs makes great companions.  This song was a great reminder of what some dogs go through, even my own.

I adopted Bella 3 years ago.  She is an 85 pound lab mix.  She just wants love and will do anything for cheese.  She is incredibly happy and smart.  I can't imagine our family without her.  She is patient and fun with our toddler too.
