The Respite Ball is Back: Time to Get Fancy For a Great Cause
When it comes to the more formal occasions in my life, I've definitely screwed up royally (yellow to the prom, really? With your complexion?). It's why, at first, I loved attending the Respite Care Holiday Ball: a formal, black-tie optional event held at the Embassy Suites in Loveland that features fine dining, dancing, live and silent auctions, and more.
Then, I found out just what Respite Care, Inc. does, and I was so glad that an event like this exists: to celebrate and raise money for a wonderful organization in our community.
If you aren't familiar with Respite Care, they're a nonprofit that provides help to families that have children with developmental disabilities. The event does feature events that will make even the most sweatpants-prone people (like myself) feel like genuine royalty, such as a car raffle and a live performance from Funkaphino. On top of that, Respite Care allows guests to listen to touching stories from those who have walked through their doors and had life-changing experiences, showing just how valuable they are to the community and how they've truly improved Northern Colorado.
Dust off that ball gown-- it's time to celebrate a great cause. Learn more here about the 36th Annual Respite Care Holiday Ball, happening November 17, and I'll see you there.
