There are few sweeter social media treats than when you discover fast food restaurant and Twitter roast master Wendy's has declared that today is #NationalRoastDay.

Once a year, they invite other Twitter users - either people or other brands on the social media app - to volunteer themselves to be insulted by the burger chain. If that sounds weird to you, in fact, it's almost become an honor to thousands of users across the social media platform at this point. Their social team has a deep and hilarious history of being pretty sassy online, especially as the brand interacts with other users on the app, and #NationalRoastDay is their Christmas morning.

The day long event puts them right in their element and lets the spotlight shine on their edgy humor and savage burns. Here's some of the best of the best from #NationalRoastDay 2022.

Busch Beer asks and Wendy's promptly delivers.

The Kansas City Royals' lack of success between 1985 and 2015 came back to haunt them.

I just hear Gilbert Godfried's voice.

To be fair, I choose to acknowledge Anheuser-Busch as being from Fort Collins, Colorado more than St. Louis, Missouri.

Not sure who Donut Operator is. But he laid a softball out there for Wendy's to smash.

They even get in there and know how to adorably roast a baby.

I LOL'ed at this one, not going to lie.

If you think about yellow liquids other than lemonade, the first one you think of is the one they imply tastes better than Mike's Hard Lemonade. That's why it's hiliarious.

There's a bit of East Coast vs. West Coast going on in these tweets, if you can find the subtle double entendre here.

I don't know Jess, and I'm going to reserve editorial comment.

Even when Wendy's Twitter account isn't talking about McDonald's, remember, they're still talking about McDonald's.

It's funny because it's true!

This guy picked the wrong day to be a meteorologist from Ohio, or anywhere really.

Laughed out loud. Then felt bad for Velveeta. And laughed out loud again.

It's all in the spelling.

To be fair, do you ever really throw out a box of Triscuits because you think they taste stale? I don't think I ever have.

Someone else learning that meteorologists make particularly sweet targets for Wendy's on #NationalRoastDay.

Thank you, come again!

If I could put just emojis here, I'd go with the shocked face and several "ROFLMAO" faces.

True story.

It's pretty hard to criticize a soft pretzel, in my opinion.

Well, Holiday Inn Express walked right into that one.

Wonder if the Weiner Mobile will be spotted at any Wendy's drive throughs this summer? Probably not.

I'm sorry, but this is absolutely hilarious because it's true.

I think Hoda and Jenna are sweet.

Ha! You know, because you mostly find them in airports. Instant classic.

Make sure you read it to the tune of Yankee Doodle Dandy!
