Super Bowl XLV: Steeltown Vs. Cheeseheads
The NFL season is almost at an end, and there might not be a next season. Yesterday the Green Bay packers beat the Chicago Bears to earn a trip to the Super Bowl. While the Pittsburgh Steelers held off a late rally by the New York Jets to do the same.
As a football fan, it’s exciting and a little sad. All we have left is the Pro Bowl (which is pretty much a joke), then the big game, the big game’s commercials, and then it’s all over.
There are talks that there could be a player lockout next season due to the NFL owners and player not being able to agree on a collective bargaining agreement. If that doesn’t happen there will be no NFL season next year. I can’t imagine a deal not being made considering how much money will be lost if there is not a season, but it’s happened in other sports.
As for this year’s championship game, I thinking the Steelers will be hoisting their seventh Lombardi trophy. The Packers look good, but I think the Steelers’ defense is just too good, and their offense just finds ways to win. Put down my prediction as Steelers 31, Packers24.
Who do you think will win?
