'Star Wars' is one of the most influential franchises of all time. A few years ago a man named Casey Pugh asked thousands of Internet users to help re-create "Star Wars: A New Hope" into a fan film. Each user was supposed to redo a 15-second scene from the film any way they wanted to.

After receiving thousand of submissions, the whole project was spliced together to create a feature-length film. Talk about a LOT of work. You can watch it below.

Some scenes are amazing, some are hilarious, and some…well, let’s just say some people don’t cut it in film school for a reason.Regardless, this project is fascinating and the range of creativity shown is remarkable.

I think seeing RD-D2 played by a shop-vac is one of my favorite parts.
