Another fire has taken blaze in Colorado. This one is down by Colorado Springs and is already at 970 acres and it is 0% contained. The fire began Sunday after noon in the Springer Gulch area and quickly grew in 24 hours forcing 500 residents of Park County to evacuate.

The fire is burning three miles south of Lake George and two miles north of 11 Mile Reservoir. This is the third fire to ignite in the area in two weeks, and comes just days after the last fire was contained. Three engines, one small airtanker, two helicopters doing bucket drops, and two heavy airtankers are in place to battle the fire.

It seems like Colorado might be on fire for the summer if this keeps up!
