Costs, Crime and Homeless Lead to Great Restaurant in Colorado Closing
It has to be very frustrating to have to make the decision to close a Colorado restaurant that has been at the same location for so long. The neighborhood will be missing them greatly, but when you've had enough, you've had enough.
Generations of folks from not only Denver but from around the area have dined at this popular Mexican restaurant; what business will be coming in to take its place?
At least we have until Christmas to get in and enjoy it one more time.
Longtime Denver Mexican Restaurant to Relocate to Westminster
According to Westword, a Mexican restaurant near 6th Avenue and I-25,Señor Burritos is closing up shop after being open at that location since 1991.
When you take a look at the map of the neighborhood you see a lot of newer places; for Señor Burritos to be in business still, speaks volumes; they must be very good at what they do.
Westwood reports that the restaurant has been dealing with the crime and the homeless in the area, but it mostly comes down to the taxes that Denver has that has brought them to the decision to close and move.
2025 Brings New Location for Longtime Denver Mexican Restaurant
By the time that February of 2025 rolls around, Señor Burritos will be open again at a new/old location south of Federal and 72nd Avenue in Westminster. This "new" location was a third Señor Burritos (their second location is in Lakewood) at one time, how neat is that?

Looking at the map, Señor Burritos will have their work cut out for them as there are more than a couple of other Mexican restaurants to compete with; with more than three decades of success, though, I'm sure they'll do fine.
