Yeah...I love the Oscars. That's why I'm so excited for 99.9 The Point's viewing party, happening at Metro Urban Food & Booze this weekend, February 24th at 5:30 p.m.!

But enough about an amazing event that's going to be a ton of fun. I want to talk about my absolute favorite moments at The Academy Awards and how great it'll be to remember them before another big show this weekend. Tripping on dresses? You got it. Tearful dedications to partners? Get out the tissues and let's start the list.

1. Tom Hanks getting teary talking about his wife

No one wants to see America's dad (Tom Hanks) cry, but he got teary eyed during his acceptance speech for Forrest Gump when talking about his wife, Rita Wilson, and I'm not crying, you're crying.

2. Leo did it! He finally won!

I think everyone finally exhaled when this happened. Leonardo DiCaprio finally won an Oscar in 2016, and people just overall seemed relieved.

3. Heath Ledger wins after his death

Again, I'm not crying, you're crying. Actually, we're all crying, because this was one of those moments at the Oscars that is truly unforgettable: an amazing actor lost too soon winning a deserving award.

4. Ben Affleck and Matt Damon winning their 'Best Original Screenplay' Oscars

I mean, they're essentially kids, and they're so giddy to win that it's amazing to watch. Their shouted 'thank you's' into the mic, especially to their friends in Boston and their mothers, is truly iconic.

5. Lupita Nyong'o's Cinderella dress and gorgeous speech

I remember swooning over this moment not only because of how stunning she looks, but because of the power of her speech. Here it is in its entirety:

There are so many more iconic and amazing moments to touch on, but I'll leave it there. And who knows? Maybe come Sunday, we'll have more iconic moments to each add to our lists.

Our Oscars Viewing Party is happening this Sunday, February 24th at Metro Urban Food & Booze, starting at 5:30 p.m. Click here to reserve your table for the event...and we'll see you there!
